WooCommerce delivery radius
How to deliver only to customers within a certain distance of your shop, and charge by distance.
Radius zones
A radius zone is a circle around your shop, in kilometres or miles. Choose “Add radius zone”, enter the distance and pick the unit. Add several radius zones for rings: for example 3 km with a $4.99 fee and 8 km with a $9.99 fee. The lowest priority number is checked first, so put the smallest ring first.
Drawn areas
Real delivery areas are rarely circles: rivers, motorways and neighbourhood borders get in the way. Use the draw tool on the map to trace the area you actually serve. Drawn areas are checked entirely inside the plugin.
Postcode zones
List postcodes one per line or separated by commas. Use 606* for a prefix and 60601-60610 for a range. This works on the free plan even without a street-address lookup, because the shopper's postcode is enough.
What each zone controls
- Delivery fee, added to the cart as “Delivery fee (zone name)”.
- Minimum order. Below it the shopper sees how much is missing.
- Delivery time, shown by the address checker and next to the shipping option.
- Allowed shipping methods. For example, a far zone can allow only your paid courier while a near zone also allows free delivery.
Outside every zone
The shopper sees your “outside the delivery area” message and cannot place a delivery order. If you want to keep local pickup available there, tick “Always keep local pickup available”.
How the distance is measured
A radius is a straight line from your pin, not a road distance. If roads matter more to you than distance, use a drive-time zone.
A note about addresses
Turning a street address into a position needs a lookup service. On the free plan the plugin does not do that, so shoppers pass the check by sharing their location (they must click a button first) or by a postcode that one of your postcode zones covers. Paid plans look up the street address through the ReachZone API.
