Terms of service
Version 2026-11-02. These terms exist in English only, and the contract is made in English.
These terms apply when you start a trial or buy a paid plan for ReachZone's online services: address lookups, drive-time areas, licence checks and the unserved-demand map, served from api.reachzone.app ("the service"). Using the free plugin, the map tiles for its admin screens and this website needs no contract with us.
1. Who we are
The service is provided by Mohamed Farag, self-employed (autónomo), Barcelona, Spain ("we", "us"). Our tax ID, address and contact details are in the legal notice. Email: hello@reachzone.app.
2. Who can buy
- Businesses only. You buy on behalf of a business (a company or a self-employed professional) and confirm that you may bind it. The service is not offered to consumers.
- Your confirmation. You confirm that you act only for your trade, business or profession. If, under the law, you turn out to be a consumer, tell us: we cancel the plan and refund everything you paid. Rights that the law gives a consumer and that cannot be waived remain.
- Not available to businesses established in Spain. We refuse trials and payments where the business, its billing address, its tax ID or its payment card is Spanish. If we find out later, we end the plan and refund what you paid for the current period.
- Countries. Paid plans are open to businesses established in the countries listed on the pricing page. Businesses in the European Union are not accepted yet; when they are, they will need a valid VAT number, checked in the EU's VIES system.
- Sanctions. You confirm that you are not subject to EU, UK, US or UN sanctions and won't use the service from, or for, a country or person under such sanctions.
- You give correct details (company name, country, billing address, tax ID where you have one) and keep them up to date in the billing portal.
3. How the contract is made
- On the pricing page you choose a plan and go to Stripe's secure checkout. There you enter your company details, tick that you accept these terms and, for a paid plan, pay. You can correct your details on Stripe's page before confirming.
- The contract starts when Stripe confirms the payment or, for the Pro trial, when the trial starts. We then show you your licence key; Stripe emails the receipt and the invoice.
- We keep a record of the contract: the version of these terms you accepted (its date and a fingerprint of its text), when you accepted it, and what you bought. We keep it for six years after the contract ends. You can ask us for a copy. Every version of these terms stays available with its date; you can save or print this page.
4. The plugin and the service
- The plugin is free software. The ReachZone plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that licence gives you to the plugin's code. These terms govern only the online service.
- The licence key is your credential for the service. Keep it to yourself and use it only on the number of websites your plan allows. If a key leaks, tell us and we'll replace it (you can also re-issue it from the billing portal).
- What the service does. It turns a street address into a position, computes drive-time areas, checks licences and, on Business and Agency plans if you turn it on, draws your unserved-demand map. Results come from OpenStreetMap-based data through our map-data provider. They are estimates: an address can be found in the wrong place or not found at all, and a drive-time area is not a promise about real travel times. You decide where you deliver and what you charge; check results before you rely on them.
- Availability. We aim to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee it, and there is no service level. We may need to stop it briefly for maintenance. If the service can't be reached, the plugin keeps the last licence answer for a while and then works with its free features; your zones and settings stay on your site.
- We may improve or change the service. If a change removes a paid feature you rely on, we tell you at least 30 days before; you can then cancel and get back the unused part of a prepaid period.
5. Plans, allowances and the trial
- Each plan's features and monthly allowances (address lookups, drive-time areas, websites) are on the pricing page. Every request counts, including repeats.
- If you reach an allowance, new requests of that kind are refused until the next month starts. The plugin keeps working with what it already has. We charge nothing extra unless you move to a bigger plan.
- The Pro trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. One trial per business. If you don't add a payment method before it ends, it simply stops and nothing is charged; the plugin returns to its free features.
6. Prices, billing and cancellation
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. Businesses outside the EU are invoiced without Spanish VAT, as the service is supplied where they are established. Any tax due in your own country is yours to account for.
- Plans are paid in advance, monthly or yearly, by card through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. Invoices are issued in our name and sent by Stripe.
- You can cancel at any time in the billing portal. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don't refund unused parts of a period, except as these terms say (sections 2, 4 and 12) or the law requires.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal; if you don't agree, cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries for a while. If it still fails, the plan ends and the plugin returns to its free features.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the service only for your own shops (or, on the Agency plan, the shops of your clients) and only to check delivery to shoppers. You must not:
- resell or give access to the service or its results as a separate product, or build, publish or sell a database of addresses or positions from it;
- harvest addresses in bulk, send requests that don't come from real shoppers or your own zone set-up, or try to get around allowances, rate limits or the number of websites (for example by splitting use over several keys);
- put anything other than a delivery address in an address field: no names, email addresses, phone numbers or order details, and never special categories of personal data;
- use the service to discriminate unlawfully against people because of where they live, or for any other unlawful purpose;
- probe, overload or attack the service, or share your licence key.
8. Map data and attribution
Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Keep the attribution the plugin shows on its maps. If you export, publish or reuse lookup results or drive-time areas outside the plugin, credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors" and follow the ODbL.
9. Personal data
- When the plugin sends a shopper's address or position to the service, you are the controller of that data and we are your processor. The data processing terms are part of these terms and apply to it.
- You make sure you have a lawful basis for the lookups and that your shop's privacy notice tells shoppers about them. The plugin's readme has text you can use.
- How we handle your own details as a customer (contact email, company, billing) is in the privacy notice.
10. Ownership
We own the service and everything in it except the plugin's code (which you may use under its GPL licence) and the OpenStreetMap data (under the ODbL). Your shop data, your zones and your settings are yours. We use the data you send only to provide the service to you, as the data processing terms say.
11. Liability
- We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and as the law otherwise requires.
- Otherwise our total liability under these terms, for all claims together, is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and never less than €100. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit, lost orders or sales, or for delivery decisions based on a lookup or a drive-time area.
- Events beyond our control. Neither side is liable for a failure caused by something it could not reasonably foresee or avoid, such as a failure of our map-data provider, Stripe, our host, Cloudflare or the internet, a cyber attack, or an act of a government. Money due for periods already served is still due.
- You answer for claims that third parties (including your shoppers or a data protection authority) bring against us because you broke section 7 or 9, and you cover our reasonable costs of defending them, provided we tell you of the claim promptly and let you take part in the defence.
- Nothing in this section limits what a person can claim under data protection law.
12. Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or end a plan that breaks these terms (for example a Spanish business, false details, misuse, a leaked key that is being abused, or non-payment), after telling you why where we can. If the breach can be fixed, we give you a reasonable time to fix it first, unless the service or other customers are at risk.
- If we stop offering the service altogether, we tell you at least 60 days before and refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
- When a plan ends, the plugin returns to its free features. What we hold for your licence is deleted as the data processing terms say; invoices and the contract record are kept for six years.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then and get back the unused part of a prepaid period. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept it, and we record which version applies to you.
14. General
- We send notices to the email address in your billing details; send yours to hello@reachzone.app.
- These terms, the data processing terms and the pricing page are the whole agreement. If they conflict, the data processing terms prevail for personal data, and these terms prevail over the pricing page.
- If a clause is invalid, the rest stays in force. You may not transfer the contract without our agreement; we may transfer it to a successor of the business and tell you. Nobody else has rights under it.
15. Law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. The courts of Barcelona, Spain, have exclusive jurisdiction, as far as the law allows this to be agreed. We may also claim unpaid fees in the courts of the country where you are established.
